Attractions
Holker Hall & Gardens
A traditional stately home of the Cavendish Family that is open to tourists most of the year. It is a stunning property set in beautiful gardens in the Lakeland countryside. Holker Hall is only an 8 minute drive away.

Levens Hall
Levens Hall is a stunning Elizabethan Country House that is open April – October. The gardens are a particularly beautiful walk on a summers day. It is a 20 minute drive away.

Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway
Ride a traditional steam engine train from Haverthwaite to Lakeside then hop on a cruise across Lake Windermere back to Haverthwaite. Haverthwaite is just a 17 minute drive for the Uplands.

Old Hall Farm
A traditional Lake District Farm that provides unique experiences in a traditional environment. Also onsite is a traditional tea room and farm shop. It will take around 20 minutes to get here from the Uplands.

Lakeland Wildlife Oasis
With the tag line, ‘the little zoo with lots to do’ there is certainly something for everyone at Lakeland Wildlife Oasis. It is an all weather attractions with animals ranging from scorpions to meerkats and snow leopard cubs! Lakeland Wildlife Oasis is 25 minutes away.

Laurel and Hardy Museum
The world famous Laurel and Hardy Museum is located in Ulverston, Cumbria. A family run business with plenty to see, it is popular with an Laurel and Hardy fan. You can get there in just 28 minutes.

The World of Beatrix Potter
The World of Beatrix Potter is a fun informative visit for any age. With interactive pieces and beautiful exhibits it is a must see for many visitors to the Lakes. Open all year around, this attraction is only half an hour away.
