Cartmel Priory
Cartmel Priory welcomes over 60,000 visitors a year. From it’s origins in the 12th Century the building has evolved into the Church seen today. A stunning piece of architecture it is a must see for many visitors.

Cartmel Food Festival
Cartmel Food Festival takes place on the third Friday of every month. Stalls are hosted by Cartmel Village Shop, HOT Wines at the Red Pepper, Mallard Hog Roast, Cartmel Cheeses and many more.

Cartmel Antiques Fair
Cartmel Antiques Fair at Cartmel Village Hall takes place several times a year and sells quality antiques and collectibles featuring ceramics, jewellery, coins and small items of furniture.

Unsworth’s Yard
The Unsworth’s Yard is a must visit for anyone in Cartmel. The yard is home to Cartmel’s very own microbrewery, of which we stock several of their beers, Cartmel Bakehouse, Hot Wines and Cartmel Cheese Shop.

L’Enclume Restaurant opened in 2003, receiving it’s first Michelin Star in 2008 and it’s second in 2012. Owned by renowned Chef Simon Rogan, it is a popular place for visitors to Cartmel. In 2014, the restaurant was named the best in the UK by the Good Food Guide.


Grange-Over-Sands is an Edwardian town made popular with tourists with the introduction of the railway line in the Victorian Era.

Grange Promenade
The one and a half mile long promenade is a beautiful walk with stunning views. During the summer the promenade has a popular cafe, tennis courts, miniature golf and a child’s playground available for use.

Grange Prom Art
Grange Prom Art is a large open air arts and crafts fair that takes place every month on a Sunday between April and September on the promenade. It is now in it’s 10th year and has grown to feature up to 80 exhibitors and 2,000 visitors every event.

Shopping in Grange is a delight due to the personal service received. A top quality butchers, two bakeries, a jewelers, a chocolate shop and many gift shops and cafes make it a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
